| ESKS TRADE QB LeFORS TO BOMBERS (Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos today traded quarterback Stefan LeFors to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in exchange for a 2nd round selection in the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft and a conditional draft choice in 2010. “This trade benefits both clubs. We are always looking to upgrade our already strong base of Canadian talent through the draft and Stefan will have an excellent opportunity to compete for a starting job in the CFL,” says Danny Maciocia, Eskimo General Manager and Director of Football Operations. Signed as a free agent in 2007, the former Louisville star spent two seasons with the Esks. He started the final five games of the ’07 campaign, completing 110 of 181 passes for 1193 yards and six touchdowns. He dressed in all 18 games as a backup in the 2008 regular season and also for the East Semi-Final and East Final. 17 STEFAN LeFORS QB (Import) Louisville Born: June 7, 1981 – Baton Rouge, LA Height: 6-0 Weight: 203 Yrs Esks: 2 Yrs CFL: 2 Acquired: Signed as a free agent on November 22, 2006. | Bombers Acquire LeFors In Trade With Edmonton |
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have acquired quarterback Stefan LeFors from the Edmonton Eskimos today. Winnipeg sends their second round pick in the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft, and a conditional pick in the 2010 Draft in exchange for LeFors.
LeFors (6-0, 203, Louisville ’05, DOB: June 7, 1981 in Baton Rouge, LA) comes from Edmonton where he has spent his first two CFL seasons as a back-up to starting pivot Ricky Ray. “I’m very excited about Stefan joining our organization. I spent last year in Edmonton with him and witnessed how he handles himself as a professional,” said head coach Mike Kelly. “The first two qualities I look for in a quarterback are intelligence and toughness. Stefan possesses both of those without any reservations. He’s proven he’s a winner and we’re excited to welcome him to the club.” The 27-year-old out of Louisville has played well when given the opportunity in Edmonton. Starting five games in 2007 when Ray was injured, LeFors completed 110 of 181 passes (60.8%) for 1,193 yards and six touchdowns. LeFors was the CFL offensive player of the week in a game against Saskatchewan when he threw for 412 yards and three touchdowns. LeFors was a fourth round draft pick of the Carolina Panthers in the 2005 NFL Draft after a stellar college career at Louisville. At Louisville, LeFors threw for 5,853 yards and 38 touchdowns. He is the school’s fourth all-time leading passer, and number one all-time in pass completion percentage (66%). In his senior year in 2004, LeFors was the Conference player of the year and a finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

| Ella Marie LeFors Just wanted to share with everyone that Ella Marie LeFors was born on Thursday, January 15. She was born on my dad's birthday =) Everytime there is a new baby born in the family my dad drives to Lafayette to get pizza from Alesis' for everyone. The BEST pizza everrr! So, it was really sweet of my dad to do this on his birthday. Thanks, dad =) Anyways, she was 7lbs and 18 inches long. Stefan and I are truly blessed. We were debating between the name Londyn and Ella for the longest time. We didn't name her until Friday because we couldn't decide. We have both liked Londyn for a longgggg time and then we recently began to LOVE the name Ella. Ella was my grandmother's name who passed away in November. Knowing how wonderful of a woman she was we knew we had to go with Ella. Then, Marie is my mother's middle name and I have always wanted to use that for my little girls middle name. So, either way it was going to be Londyn Marie or Ella Marie. Soooo that is how we got our little girls name =) Ella is doing wonderful. It is so nice having her home. We feel truly blessed to have our boy and girl. Luke is being such a GREAT big brother. He is always there to help us out. He really likes to burp his sister =) Ella is now 5 days old and last night she had a nice stretch of sleep. She slept from 11:30 until 5 this morning. NICE! So far she has been a wonderful baby...but it has only been 4 nights. Ha! Hopefully it continues. Well, here is an announcement they had on EKS.com and some pictures of our sweet little Ella. She is so tiny compared to Luke =) BABY GIRL JOINS LeFORS' FAMILY HUDDLE After having Ella My Mr. McDreamy and Ella...Haha! Look at her black hair and cute lips! | We lost our second play off game to Montreal on Saturday. Stefan got back to Edmonton on Saturday night and we decided to finish packing up our place on Sunday. Monday morning we got our U-Haul, packed it up and we were out of there around 6:30 that night. We are now driving somewhere in Colorado. The drive has been great so far. Luke has been really good. Thank goodness! We just got our Blackberry to work as a modem in the car so we can use the laptop. That is how I am blogging...and staying awake! Ha! Stefan is driving and doing a wonderful job =) Luke is watching the movie 'Cars'. Well, here are some pics I took of Luke in the car today. Stefan and I were talking and when we noticed Luke had found the box of tissue and was having wayyyy too much FUN =)
We are soooo excited to get home and see everyone! Hopefully we will be home by Thursday night. Can't wait to sleep in our bed =) XOXO, Joy and The Boys

Here is a picture from Halloween of all the kids in their costumes and their Mommy's =) ESKIMO EMPIRE CELEBRATES HALLOWEEN 11/3/2008 Members of the Eskimo Empire were all dressed up for Halloween on Friday night at Commonwealth Stadium. A costume contest took place at halftime with first place receiving a trip for two to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, second place scored a 19” LCD flat screen TV and third place got an Eskimo Fan Pack. Darth Vader introduced the Eskimos and members of the Storm Troopers accompanied the players onto the field. Eskimo free safety Siddeeq Shabazz even came out with a king kong mask during player introductions. Eskimo coaches and player wives and kids also dressed up for the game.

Luke wanted to be a football player like his daddy =) He was too cute! Luke and I got to sit inside and watch the game. Thank goodness because it was freezing!!! Here are some pics of my cute little football player and us as a family after the game =)
Luke thought the stickers were soooo cool. He has a QB towel and wrist bands =)

My 2 FAV boys =)
Yesterday and today Stefan has off. So, we are packing and putting up posters for a moving sale. Our playoff game is on Saturday. If we win we have another playoff game the next week at Montreal. If we lose our season is over. We decided to get a head start on packing up everything just in case we don't win this week. Last year we waited until the last minute to pack up and that was NO fun! Not up to too much this week. Luke's friend Cali turns 1 on Thursday and she is having a birthday party. That should be fun! Stefan flies out on Friday for his game on Saturday. I will be 29 weeks pregnant this week. I am SOOOO blessed to have such a wonderful pregnancy even though I don't like being pregnant. Ha! I feel really good! Luke is getting heavy for me to pick up though. Haha! Anyways, hope yall have a wonderful day! Off to packing I go =) XOXO, Joy and The Boys
